I graduated from Calvin College in May 2006
with a B.A in business communications. While in college, I
interned at Gymco Sports, re-designing and developing a new
web page and planning a fundraising event for the Make-A-Wish
Foundation. In January 2005, I went to Tanzania with a program
that studies development and micro-economics. I also worked
as a teaching assistant for several sections of a technology
course and managed the dorm computer lab.
Currently, I am a HelpDesk Analyst at the
Calvin College I.T. HelpDesk where my main responsibilities
include call center duty, diagnosing and fixing personal student
computers, and managing the repairs of all classroom computer
and audio visual equipment on campus. I also do smaller web
design jobs on the side.
My hobbies include web design, photography,
training and competing with my German Shepherd dog, road trips,
gymnastics, and reading.
I live in Kentwood, Michigan, with my husband,
Phil Kelder. Phil just finished student teaching at Mulick
Park Elementary and will be student teaching at Alexander
Elementary this fall. He is currently a security officer for
Calvin College Campus Safety and is working with the Ready
For Life program this summer. In December, he will graduate
from Calvin College's special education teaching program.
He also graduated from Calvin in May 2004 with a degree in
youth recreation. We have a four year old German Shepherd
dog, Kenya (registered U-CH Alta Tollhaus Krieger Lamb Chop
RA RN HIT TDI CGC), a one year old mutt, Coke, and three cats,
Beckham, Posh, and Marijke.
I am a member of the German Shepherd Dog
Club of America - Working Dog Association and secretary/webmaster
of the Working Dog Club of Michigan.
